A bright and elegant Ethiopian coffee from Hambela Goro, in the Guji region.
This lot stood out for its aromatic clarity and fresh, tea-like structure. It opens with notes of Earl Grey, followed by juicy stone fruits and a lemonade-like acidity that makes the cup vibrant and refreshing.
Behind this coffee is Tagel Alamayehu, owner of Olkai and coordinator of the Hambela Goro station. His connection to coffee is deeply personal: his father was a respected producer and trader in Guji, known for building the first washing station in the Bule Hora community in the early 2000s.
After his family lost their coffee lands, Tagel promised himself he would recover them. Years later, he succeeded.
A clean, expressive and uplifting cup, perfect for those who love Ethiopian coffees with floral complexity, citrus brightness and a long, delicate finish.
