Among the Panamanian coffees I tasted, this was the one I chose for its purity and balance.
It reflects the profile I love in a classic washed Panama Gesha: floral, crisp, and elegant, but with a touch more sweetness that makes the cup feel especially complete.
Grown at 1,800 meters above sea level in the Alto Quiel area of Boquete, this lot comes from Finca Lérida, where rich volcanic soil and excellent growing conditions shape a refined and expressive cup.
After harvest, the ripest cherries were selected by flotation, depulped, and fermented overnight to break down the mucilage naturally. The coffee was then washed and dried for 15 days on African raised beds under direct sunlight.
In the cup, expect jasmine, clementine, and white tea with a silky body, vibrant citric acidity, and a clean, polished finish.
